Waitress was great, but waiting a hour and 20 minutes for a hamburger steak and chicken stripe basket and having to get our food togo was not okay with me. Was our first time and our last! It wasn't busy maybe 4 people already eating when we walked in.
Update: Sabrina the owner let me have a vine of her Devil's ivy! As a plant lover do you understand what she did? She gave me a piece of her history and her restaurants history. It gave me goosebumps just now. This is powerful because I felt loved. Today is the 7th day since I moved to the area and the 3rd time I have been here. I think I kinda of freaked them out because I wanted my food in togo containers because I wasn't expecting to finish it all. They made it clear that not how they served people and they would put my food on a regular plate. I knew exactly why they reacted the way they did and I appreciate it. The food was delicious 😋 the favors were just satisfying my tongue so much. And they use a different type of bacon, its thick and crunchy and savory. You can roll it around your tongue tasting the freshness of the meat. I thought, this has to be local! Everything was good. The staff was friendly. There was a young man bussing tables and filling drinks, which is such a great thing to see. Overall my experience was enjoyable and I encourage all to visit the Azle Cafe.
Don't blink or you will miss as your driving by the high school. We found it and absolutely loved it. I had the 3-egg omelet (pick up to 5 ingredents) with toast & hash browns. It was really good and hot off the griddle. Wife had a egg & meat sandwich w/hashbrowns and said the biscuit it was on was definitely homemade. Ashley was a great waitress and attentive to our needs. Prices were really reasonable.
Went at a busy time so I was prepared to wait. Someone left so we managed to get a table quickly and the waitress brought our drink order quickly. Unfortunately that is where the good service stops. It took 30 minutes before the waitress took our order. Making sure everyone else's coffee cups were topped off first. After this it took 30 minutes more without the waitress checking on us. I flagged her down and inquired about our order noting other people that had come in 20 to 30 minutes after us already had their food. The waitress checked and returned only to notify us the order was never submitted to the kitchen so they would start working on it now. I said no, and we left. 1 hour wasted and no food. I do not recommend eating here unless you are prepared to check in with the waitress every few minutes to make sure she remembers to service your table.
“Hole in the wall” diner…just how I like them 😁 The staff was friendly, quick on their toes. It was packed full for Sunday breakfast and they got us a table real quick. The food was good! You want some home cooked food, get here! They have daily specials too!
We had three different lunch plates and everyone enjoyed everything that they ate, it was good food. 15min wait on the food. Young waitresses were very pleasant and nice and attentive, the decor is 1970s 1980s and kind of I'm sorry, a little drab in my opinion. I would recommend anyone who had some time to stop by and eat here, it is well worth your stop and time. Three plates and drinks $45.00+tip
Went for breakfast before a round of golf. I had the 2 egg breakfast- sausage- hash browns- biscuits & gravy. Delicious! Staff was very friendly! So were the patrons. They have breakfast all day- daily specials- & an all you can eat special. Give them a try!
So I had been there before and the food was delicious and the service was great and the portion size was generous and so I went again tonight for a call in order and the service was mediocre at best not pleasant not friendly not efficient. And part of what I ordered was an order of onion rings and they were the most disgusting things I've ever seen they looked like cut up tube socks that have been dipped in grease and then frid they were horrible I couldn't eat them Pictures to follow. Inconsistent is what I would say
